Samson Technologies is looking for a dynamic Creative Copywriter to write clear and concise copy that wil inform and engage target audiences. The right candidate will have an understanding of audio products, and experience working on many forms of content for B2B as well as B2C marketing initiatives. In collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the Creative Copywriter will author text for a variety of musical products across our three brands: Samson, Hartke and Michael Kelly. Such materials include web copy, advertisements, packaging, catalogs, email blasts, press releases and scripts. The Creative Copywriter will provide hands-on support with special marketing initiatives, including press inquiries, product reviews and events. Additionally, the Creative Copywriter will work with customer service team to populate product support pages with relevant and accessible documentation. Our ideal candidate is skilled and imaginative writer with an eye for detail.
Duties include the following:
- Develop copy for a variety of mediums including but not limited to all popular social media channels, emails, blogs, websites, whitepapers, infographics, packaging, and more
- Compose B2B materials including positioning statements, product copy, bullets, and brochures
- Search engine and conversion-optimized copywriting for websites, landing pages, banners, and blog
- Write, proof and edit copy
- Results-oriented with the ability to take feedback and revise copy
- Comfortable brainstorming and openly sharing ideas
- Creative thinker who thrives in an always-changing, fast-paced work environment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Collaborate with Sales and Video teams to form storyboards and scripts for training videos
- Working with customer service team create quick start documentation and other support materials
- Spearhead the production of domestic and international newsletters
- Liaise with retailers and provide up-to-date product information
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of audio products and musical instruments
- Have an understanding of information design, keyword research and implementation, SEO optimization standards and web standards
- Have exceptionally strong writing and storytelling skills across multiple mediums
- Be a fast, flexible and effective problem solver
- Be proactive and self-motivated
- Autonomous, self-starter who asks great questions and seeks information and resources to excel in their position
- Must be deadline-oriented and able to write successfully under tight deadlines
