Job Summary: Credit Managers are responsible for managing a portfolio of clients. This position is focused around developing and maintaining an ongoing relationship with clients. This includes addressing all day-to-day needs, understanding their business, assessing credit limits by client and debtor, and monitoring client and customer performance to ensure the integrity of Encore’s portfolio. Note: this is an individual contributor role, not a role that is managing people. However, there are opportunities for upward mobility and greater responsibility with time and experience.
Responsibilities:
· Review new credit applications using credit reporting agencies and company financials to determine proper credit limits for potential customers in our client’s portfolio
· Analyze supporting documentation (invoices, timecards, purchase orders, bill of ladings, etc.) to prepare and process client funding requests
· Monitor client position and its ability to handle current book of business with respect to dollar size, customer concentrations, and other factors
· Closely monitor account for transactional anomalies and determine appropriate course of action to be taken to safeguard both client and Encore’s financial position
· Business to business collections and invoice verification as needed
· Ensure important legal documents are properly mailed, delivered, and filed
· Troubleshoot process breakdowns and hindrances related to client service matters
· Communicate clearly and thoughtfully with upper management
· Identify, test, and implement process improvements to enhance and standardize customer service delivery
· Prepare weekly for company-wide meeting regarding health of the portfolio and any client issues
· Build and maintain strong relationships with account executives and their clients
Qualifications:
· Must be conscientious, prompt, a team player, detail-oriented, friendly, able to multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Gain proficiency in Factor SQL (accounting software)
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, co-workers, and clients
