Hydralawn is a quickly growing hydroseeding company looking for a Crew Supervisor and Crew Members who can catch our vision to provide the best expertise and service to customers that are building beautiful homes and yards for their families. We are excited to bring on a Crew Supervisor that has a long-term, five-year plus vision, to grow in the company with future general management and profit-sharing potential.
Starting pay will be between $16.00 and $32.00 an hour based on experience, with opportunities for growth. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a history of bringing value through hard work, reliability, and building relationships with customers as well as key partners and vendors.
Specific Responsibilities include the following:
- Direct and work with crew members to complete residential and commercial projects and/or garden maintenance. Ensure that team has necessary tools and materials to accomplish projects. Manage time, productivity, and material record keeping. Provide consistent and timely communication with customers, team members and managers. Ensure adherence to plans and quality of work. Recommend modifications based on field conditions, client requests, and/or supply issues. Utilize hands-on training philosophies and demonstrate a strong work ethic through your example. Promote safety, performance, and well-being of all crews. Perform general landscape maintenance including planting, fertilizing, transplanting, estimating, and providing recommendations.
- The Crew Supervisor will assist in coordinating customer intake, arranging job schedules, creating and managing customer accounts, and supervising commercial and residential lawn installations, customer service, and follow up. You will also be responsible for operating the crew within a budget, preserving vendor relationships, creating reports, preparing and coordinating billing and invoices, handling incoming phone calls, and other organizational tasks. To succeed in this role, you will need to be proficient in driving and backing up a truck pulling a heavy trailer, and to be extremely fast at solving problems, preferably with experience leading a work crew in the past.
Necessary Skills/Qualifications:
- Must possess strong leadership skills with crew and ability to communicate effectively with management and clients to meet deadlines. Must be able to read, understand, and communicate landscape plan drawings and specification documents. Must be able to endure repetitive bending and twisting motions. Must be able to lift more than 80 pounds. Must be able to properly and efficiently complete necessary job site and company paperwork. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers. Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license and good driving record.
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience managing crew members on project installations. Lawn care knowledge. Operate skid steers, compact excavators, chainsaws, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
