We seek experienced Interventionists to join Journeys Children's Program to work with our youth participants in Rexburg, Idaho. An Intervention Specialist provides direct therapy to children with developmental disabilities, teaches life skills and socialization, and works to reduce problem behaviors in the home, community, and school settings. A specialist also works to educate those involved in the child's life to help support the child to reach their full potential.

Our crisis program assists children with disabilities who are in non-traditional situations and aiding them acclimating back to regular life from the crisis they were in. This can range from behavioral crisis, to foster-care, probation, etc. In this position we support them through various goals and behavioral skills they are learning but also helping them through challenging situations. To qualify as an Intervention Specialist you:

• Have a bachelor's Degree
• 1 year/1040 hours of experience working with children (ages 3-21) with developmental disabilities
• Other Developmental Disability Experience
• are self-motivated and can work unsupervised
• Can pass a background check from the Department of Health and Welfare

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
