Ozarks Community Hospital in Gravette, Arkansas is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for outpatient surgery and Ketamine/Spravado treatment.

Our facilities include a hospital located in Gravette, Arkansas and several satellite clinics located in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.

Position Summary: Nurse Anesthetists work in a team approach to the preparation of patients for anesthesia, its administration, and the post-operative care for adults and children at Ozarks Community Hospital. The scope of practice includes the following responsibilities:

  • Selecting an anesthetic agent and initiating inhalation and IV anesthesia in consult with the attending Anesthesiologist.
  • Maintaining and monitoring anesthesia.
  • Supporting life functions during the induction and period of anesthesia.
  • Recognizing abnormal patient responses to anesthesia or to any adjunctive medication or other form of therapy and taking corrective action along with the anesthesiologist.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a program of nurse anesthesia education accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) or its predecessor.
  • Holds a current license as a registered professional nurse and complies with any applicable state statutory or requirements concerning the advanced practice of nursing.
