Hildale Park Presbyterian Church - Sexton [Custodian] Position Description

Hildale Park Presbyterian Church in Cedar Knolls, NJ is seeking a new sexton [custodian] to join our staff immediately. We pride ourselves on being a supportive and understanding work environment and offer the opportunity, contingent on demonstrated reliability, to set your own schedule each week, including days, nights, early mornings, weekends, or any combination that fits your schedule. The work consists in cleaning and maintaining (but not repairing) the church's interior in a presentable state, and will not exceed 10 hours per week. In the weeks preceding Christmas and Easter, the sexton may need to set up or clean up after special services on certain set days. The sexton may also be asked to set up tables and vacuum our fellowship hall and remove garbage before and after funerals (with flexibility; e.g., can be setup the day before, cleaned up the day after) for an additional stipend beyond listed compensation (usually $75/event). All equipment and supplies are provided at our cost.
