Position: Custodian
Department: Physical Plant

Position Overview: The Custodian will be responsible for cleaning, light maintenance, setups, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure the facility’s needs are maintained in a manner consistent with University expectations.
Essential job functions:
- Maintain, clean, and service restrooms, water fountains, kitchen areas, classrooms, computer labs, study rooms, locker areas, lounge areas, lobby areas, conference rooms, auditoriums, elevators, maintain floors, hallways, and stairs
- Clean windows, vents, and walls
- Trash removal
- Dusting
- Maintain schedule of events and setup/cleanup needs
- Maintain entrances up to the main walkway
- Changing light bulbs
Qualifications:

Additional Qualifications:
- Launder cleaning materials and event linens
- Equipment must be maintained in good working conditions
- Remove litter around buildings and trash containers
- Maintain custodial closets
- Potentially working at the North Manchester campus for seasonal help
- All other duties that may be assigned

Work schedule: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Forty (40) hours per week (8:00 am-5:00 pm) will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the College, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be required occasionally.
