About Us:Avon Health Center, family owned since 1974, provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice and respite care. We are a 120 bed facility, 90 of which are Long Term and 30 Short Term.

Part Time Position
16 hours per week (4 - 8 pm including every other weekend)
$17 / hour
Job Details:
We are seeking a Part Time Porter (Custodian/Floor Care Tech)
Various responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Trash removal, sweeping, mopping and waxing of floors, vacuuming, cleaning of rooms upon resident discharge, in-house delivery of boxes, packages and other items, cleaning and upkeep of restrooms, resident rooms, community rooms and offices.
The primary purpose of your position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator and / or the Director of Housekeeping, to assure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Additional necessary qualifications:
- Work independently and as a team player.
- Must be reliable!
- Must be able to work every other weekend
- Communicate well.
- Deal tactfully with resident, family members, staff and government personnel.
- May be required to stand for long periods of time.
- May have to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies without restrictions.
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed by the department
