Job Description


SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the relation with the customer to ensure a high level of service and high customer ratings. Duties and tasks reflect substantial variety and complexity. Assignments are broad in nature and usually require originality and ingenuity. May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyze customer releases for long term forecast
  • Check the customer demand compared to capacity contracted and alert if the demand is over Max contracted rate.
  • Responsible for the relationship with the customer material planner and respond promptly to all customer requests. Each customer has unique requirements that must be followed. The customer service must be trained and familiar with the customer system.
  • Develop partnership with customer.
  • Responsible for the customer Internet systems to ensure customer expectation are met.
  • Ability to make critical independent decisions and act within Bosch Automotive Steering and customer organization.
  • Responsible for finished goods inventory remains at a reasonable level (target = 2-3 days). Also ensure the finished good system inventory is accurate.
  • Responsible for monitoring the incoming EDI and ensure orders are correctly loaded into SAP.
  • Work with shipping to ensure all customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Set up expedites to the customer as required and communicate with Transportation Company to preclude delays in transit.
  • Responsible for monitoring customer orders and communicate any significant fluctuations. Negotiate any premium expenses with the customer that may result from customer order changes.
  • Set up new customer scheduling agreements and part numbers according to internal order from sales.
  • Trouble shoot SAP issues as necessary
  • Familiar with all customer systems (DDL, Smart, Supply Power)
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Proxy for other master scheduler as needed.
  • Responsible for the Daily Customer Internet systems to ensure customer expectation are met.

Qualifications


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Two-year degree and/or three to five years related experience and or training. Experience should be gained in areas of customer service. One to five years' experience in logistics for entry level candidates.
