Our global headquarters is located in Northern California. Due to the rapid growth, we’ve experienced in our worldwide customer base we are seeking an experienced Customer Service Specialist that would report directly to our in-house Customer Service Manager. We are looking for a seasoned, customer-service-oriented, candidate that is a fast learner, a team player, and possesses a positive attitude, in addition, to being self-motivated, professional, resourceful, and conscientious. The ideal candidate should be willing to travel within the continental United States, from time to time. We’d like to hear from you if you have the following experience, interests, and goals!

Duties and background requirements for the position are as follows:

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for external customers aiding in all customer service-related areas
  • Coordinate order fulfillment accurately meeting all required deadlines in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Process customer orders, review inventory, hands-on service providing support on a daily basis
  • Process customer invoices andverify pricing, quantities shipped, weights, freight, etc. on a daily basis
  • Maintain customer relationship management to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire purchasing experience
  • Heavy communication via email with customers, warehouses, the logistics team, agents, etc.
  • Send detailed confirmations upon receipt of customer orders confirming all aspects of the received PO including but not limited to: Pricing, weight, freight terms, payment terms, customer codes, special instructions if any, etc.
  • Set-up of new customer accounts, assisting with credit term process, follow up, coding special requirements, instructions to keep system records updated regularly
  • Ongoing system updates maintain thedatabase to keep all customer records as updated as possible
  • Provide input to upper management with insight into process and customer experience to increase productivity and satisfaction.
  • Individual customer support handling inquiries coming in including but not limited to: Special labeling requests for customer orders, NAFTA’s, CCI’s, running quotes, tracking shipments, providing support on damaged goods in transit, closing RMA’s in/outbound, assisting with maintenance of ISO records collecting data for annual reviews.
  • Providing hands-on support to customers, agents, warehouses, distributors, etc.
  • Samples management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Customer Service experience
  • Experience in ERP systems: INFOR, SAP, or MS Dynamics
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively interact with varied Personnel
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize daily tasks
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel and be versatile computer skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and successfully meet deadlines
  • High-volume typing or data entry with low error rate
  • Self-starter, quick learner, dependable, and can multi-task
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese
  • Experience in specialty chemical industry
  • Experience overseeing, coordinating, or supervising staff.
  • Capable of assigning, reviewing, and providing direction to team members/colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and analyzing skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
