MADDEN MATERIALS is seeking a Customer Service Representative/Dispatcher to join our amazing team! Responsible for answering incoming sales calls and providing information, quoting, or creating orders for materials to be delivered as requested. Also, optimizing daily truck activity while communicating directly with our Drivers, Operations and Sales team. Timely, accurate and effective communication is a critical function of the role. They will communicate with the customer, fellow team members or their assigned Drivers by phone and/or electronic messaging.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as customers’ first telephone point of contact for assisting customers with product questions, ordering, order tracking, complaints, and problems.
- Answer phones in a pleasant tone and in a timely manner avoiding missed calls.
- Plan daily load activity and assign work for Drivers/Independent Contractors
- Coordinate with Sales team ensuring customer loading and delivery demands are met.
- Address problems and requests via phone and electronic messaging
- Monitor the route and status of trucks to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
- Be a continual source of real time info about orders, traffic, obstacles, and customer requirements.
- Data entry – provide quotes to customers as required, maintain dispatch records, load activity and other information.
- Collect and Process customer payments as needed.
- Interact with Drivers and Pit Admins in a positive and professional manner as an advocate and coach.
- Promote safety, compliance and productivity as a coach, counselor, mentor.
- Be a team player aiding field operations and other departments as needed.
- Willingness to accept other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Customer Service: 2 years (Required)
- Computer literacy: 4 years (Required)
- Driver's License (Required)
- Spanish (Preferred)
Requirements
- Excellent communications skills - with considerable time spent on phones and email
- Effective analytical and decision-making skills
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment with strong time management skills
- The role will require multi-tasking and the ability to effectively resolve conflicts
- Proficient using various programs - Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and dispatch software

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
