Immediate Need: Seeking Cyber Security Engineer with active and current Full Scope Poly Clearance
Location(s): Dulles, VA / McLean, VA / Bethesda, MD / Ft Meade, MD (100% onsite SCIF work)
Clearance Required: TS/SCI FSP
Currently seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer who will perform Cyber engineering and integration services including security, authentication, identity management, authorization, and access control engineering. This is an information security-centric program supporting a large government customer within the IC in Cyber Security. This is a fast-paced, challenging, and career-rewarding experience in one of the most complex and high-profile programs within the government. Self-starter able to work independently and build relationships with technical reps across divisions, comfortable with cyber security and able to brief issues to the customer. Experience with Cyber Security infrastructure and producing Enterprise IT situational awareness for a top tier US Intelligence Agency.
- Develops, author’s, and reviews documentation for compliance including Configuration Management Plans, Network Infrastructure Plans, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans, and all supporting processes, procedures, and policies in support of RMF A&A activities
- Effectively performs interviews of technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as well as non-technical management personnel to ascertain the security posture of an IT system
- Identifies mitigating factors for identified risks and proposes additional mitigation strategies for identified vulnerabilities
- Evaluates a wide array of IT devices for Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance using ACAS/ Nessus, SCAP Compliance Checker, and manual checklist reviews. This includes Windows, Solaris, and Red Hat Linux servers and desktops, routers, switches, firewalls, IDS, etc.
- Applies STIGs to a variety of devices to ensure compliance
- Assist system owners with all self-assessment required tasks
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required.
- Minimum of 10+ years of Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Assurance experience.
- At minimum a Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree highly preferred) in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with information security and Federal security guidelines (NIST, RMF, FISMA, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience with security scanning tools for general network and operating system compliance and tools for continuous monitoring
- Demonstrated experience with in the auditing process and privilege user actions.
- Demonstrated experience with system engineering or system development.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile and DevOps environments.
Any of the following certifications are highly desired:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM).
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Certified CompTIA Advance Security Practitioner (CASP +CE).
- Certified GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED).
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
