Project & Position Overview:

Precise will be developing and implementing a new system that is flexible and can support the unique needs for state governments across the US related to the agriculture and public health programs. Precise is seeking a Data Architect for data modeling and writing database migration scripts.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with database design, data integration/aggregation, metadata management, database administration and performance tuning within Microsoft Azure Cloud and SQL databases.
• Formulate the organizational data strategy, including standards of data quality, the flow of data within an application solution, and security of data.
• Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating business requirements, applications, and programming.
• Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
• Oversee and execute the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
• Write database migration scripts to migrate data from multiple legacy databases.
• Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams.
• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
• Install and organize information systems to guarantee company functionality.
• Create and maintain a repository of all data architecture artifacts.
• Adhere to Agile principles and philosophies (Scrum or Kanban, as applicable) in fulfillment of the role.
• Educate staff members through training and individual support.

Desired Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in using data modelling tools (ERwin, ER/Studio, etc.)
• Database scripting experience
• Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
