Data Collector, Psychology Lab - Georgetown University College of Arts and Sciences
Job Overview
The Data Collector is an approachable, caring professional who collaborates and participates in the collection of data – in both in-person and virtual interviews - with parents as part of a randomized controlled trial of an intervention called Connect to Baby.
The pilot program will be delivered remotely, via Zoom, and in collaboration with Early Head Start centers throughout Washington DC, with data collected both in person from parents and virtually through Zoom interviews.
Work interactions:
Closely supervised by the Principal Investigator and the Project Manager, the Data Collector works directly with other data collectors.
Qualifications
  • BA or BS degree
  • Research experience collecting data and/or interacting with people
  • Spanish speaking skills due to the DC metropolitan area’s growing Spanish speaking population and the collection of information in homes in which parents talk with each other and with their children
Preferred qualifications
  • Observational coding experience using datayvu software and Excel
  • Familiarity with STATA or other statistical software - such as R
  • Current driver’s license
