Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements, identify data sources, and define data elements and structures.
- Analyze and evaluate existing data models, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements to optimize data management processes.
- Create data mapping and transformation rules to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.
- Work closely with database administrators and software developers to implement and validate data models in database management systems (DBMS) and applications.
- Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues, recommend data cleansing and data governance strategies, and ensure data integrity.
- Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), and data flow diagrams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data modeling and data management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Data Modeler or similar role, with a strong background in data modeling and database design.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or PowerDesigner.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts and database management systems (DBMS), such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
- Familiarity with data integration, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical data models.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $70,420.85 - $142,680.81 per year
Schedule:
