Primary Responsibilities:

HDR is looking for a senior Program Manager for Due Diligence contracts who is experienced with site selection, land development and master planning and is passionate about working for many of the world’s largest tech companies. The primary duties of this role are to lead a team that delivers multiple site selection, due diligence and master planning efforts for datacenters and other large, advanced technology facilities. A typical project would be the evaluation and development of a large (>100 acre) greenfield campus where time-to-market and schedule are critical. Disciplines that this candidate will need to effectively oversee include survey, geotechnical engineering, planning, campus power, site development (wet- and dry-utilities, grading, drainage, etc) and regulatory compliance / permitting. A typical client for these projects will be large Fortune 500 technology company where collaboration and teamwork blends together with time-to-market and schedule urgency.

In addition to leading HDR’s due diligence team, the successful candidate will also be expected to manage related projects and support our overall client management activities. Consequently, the ideal candidate should possess and maintain knowledge of regional and national due diligence, site planning and land development market trends as well as a strong understanding of the unique needs of datacenters and advance technology projects.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Direct project staff and lead site selection, due diligence and Campus master planning efforts as a program leader, project manager and/or project engineer / planner.
  • Work with client managers to develop an overall strategic capture plan per client
  • Provide project and task management; conduct difficult to complex process engineering for both projects and proposals; collect, assimilate, and present data in reports; and lead preparation of planning documents, engineering plans and specifications for design of major land development projects.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication and listening skills including good leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing client engagement and client management planning, with Sector and regional leadership, to define and drive strategies for growing business with Industrial key clients.
  • Some travel will be required but is likely to be less than 50%.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • BS degree in discipline related to the position
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Significant land development experience.
  • Site selection and due diligence experience (engineering and/or planning)
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects that include, at a minimum, surveying, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, utility design and permitting.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient with online communication and collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, Google Drive, Chime, WebEx, Skype)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Proven track record of sales in the A/E industry.
  • Planning & Budgeting experience
  • Staff management, mentoring and general leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed engineer or certified planner strongly desired
  • Current relationships with other due diligence professionals (A/E firms, general contractors, developers, etc)

The expected compensation range depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.

The expected compensation range for this position in California is $156,387.00 - $253,875.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for this position in Colorado is $156,387.00 - $223,140.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for the position in New York is $117,713.00 - 253,875.00 annually.

The expected compensation range for this position in Washington is $163,496.00 - $233,565.00 annually.
