Hybrid Remote/In-Person Part-Time (20 hours per week) Position in Castro Valley, CA (Non-Exempt)

Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, and wrap around services. - Interested in processing data for a nonprofit service agency.
- Able to work closely with staff throughout all agency departments.
- Able to prioritize and complete tasks within established timeframes.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and integrity with data and comply with victims services laws.
- Someone with strong computer skills and the ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately.
- Someone with strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically.
- Someone with a High school diploma or GED.
- Experienced working in a mission-driven organization and in a capacity where information is sensitive in nature.
- In possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by Ruby's Place insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles.
- Able to complete a background check, fingerprinting (Live Scan), and completion of all Community Care Licensing requirement documents. Able to meet all licensing requirements of Community Care Licensing.
What You Will Do
The anticipated start date for this position is Spring 2023. You will report to the Database Administrator. The purpose of the Data Entry Clerk is to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer databases. This individual is responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources, ensuring all necessary data is being entered and maintained. In addition, the Data Entry Clerk must verify and edit data as needed.
Responsibilities include
Inputting data from staff into multiple database systems.
Collect data from staff for HUD grant and input information into Apricot, including regular upkeep of all required assessments.
Following a work schedule as determined by the Database Administrator, which includes in person work weekly at the Castro Valley office space.
Ensure all necessary data is entered with accuracy; identify and correct data errors using appropriate quality control methods. Verify and edit data as needed.
Log incomplete or missing items for correction by staff.
Assist Database Administrator as needed with reports and data quality checks.
Adhere to agency technology guidelines as well as legal and regulatory standards.
Actively participate in meetings with supervisor. Attend all mandatory meetings including all staff meetings, team meetings and others as requested by your supervisor..
Fill out a functional timesheet by assigned due dates in compliance with the time allocations.
Actively participate in reflective supervision
Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures in relation to duties of the job
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Working Conditions
This position is eligible for hybrid in person & remote work. Time spent on-site versus remote working will be discussed and agreed upon with your supervisor. You are expected to be available on-site as necessary given business needs. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds. You will be subject to frequent interruptions and must be able to multitask and handle stress.
Local travel in the greater Bay Area may be required.

The pay scale for the Data Entry Clerk (Homeless Management Information System) is $22.80 per hour. This is a hybrid position (flex work), (20 hours per week) with some days required in our Castro Valley Office. Applicants must be located in the greater Bay Area.
