DEA COORDINATOR

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant has an immediate opening for a DEA Coordinator to join their team! Excellent compensation and benefits package and a friendly work environment.

Position Summary

DEA Coordinator performs the role of DEA Compliance associate to company’s operational units relating to the storage, processing, documentation, reconciliation, distribution and reporting of controlled substances. DEA Coordinator conducts reviews, investigations and performs those duties required in support of DEA Compliance and Anti-Diversion initiatives. Provides company guidance and support to the security officer force as necessary.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with the applicable Federal Regulations during the Manufacture, Storage and Distribution of Controlled Substances. Proper completion of DEA Form 222. Performs reviews and investigations related to controlled substances accountability, security, suspicious orders, and documentation in accordance with regulations, rulings and corporate standard and site operating procedures.
  • Perform audits of controlled substance inventories as directed by management.
  • Performs DEA oversight by audit and review.Performs training and provides corporate DEA support to other departments. Provide support to operational units through the use of video reconstruction as approved by management. Enforce DEA Guidelines & Security Operations policies and procedures.
  • Conduct video surveillance of facility, with strong emphasis on controlled substance security. Support to Security Officers.
  • Responsible for proper documentation of imports, exports and domestic transfers. Assists in quota assignments and preparation.

Position Requirements

Education Required: High school diploma or GED required.

Education Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Required: 1 year of Security/Military/Police or other related experience

Experience Preferred: 2 years experience in a Pharmaceutical environment or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

General knowledge of Site organization

Specialized or Technical Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of alarm, card access and video surveillance systems.
  • Demonstrated ability with computer software programs (Microsoft Suite applications)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the business and manufacturing process flow.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
