Dip Into Your Role

  • Evaluate the validity of incoming deduction requests and carrier-reported OS&D claims in a timely manner to ensure financial and inventory accuracy daily and before month ends closing.
  • Create Credit Memos in SAP to include collection of proper and complete back-up documentation, route to proper level of approval and ensure credit memo dispositions are completed prior to month-end closure. Complete reversal of credit memo if appropriate levels of approval deem credit memo to be invalid.
  • Track OS&D claims activity and report each month end for coordination with warehouse to accurately report on warehouse KPI scores.
  • Evaluate all logistics deductions for completeness and follow up with appropriate departments or customer to verify and validate the deductions.
  • If OS&D or deductions claims are deemed invalid, submit re-pay requests to customers.
  • Identify and address carrier and/or 3PL warehouse errors, forwarding carrier/3PL claim information to the transportation department or replenishment planners for evaluation of possible damage claims incurred at the fault of carrier or 3PL warehouse provider.
  • Support Finance and AR team in research, evaluation, and determination on short paid and over paid invoices.
  • Post approved credits to offset deductions in High Radius (deductions management system) as required.
  • Utilize Transportation Management System (TMS) to verify shipments and obtain bills of lading and proofs of delivery. Enter load notes in TMS to obtain additional documentation as needed. Engage transportation department for additional documentation support.
  • Work assigned portfolio of deductions to ensure deductions are valid with proper documentation and resolved timely in accordance with the aging matrix. Ensure deductions are updated frequently with commentary to track progress of deduction resolution and escalate issues that exceed the aging matrix threshold.

Recipe for Success

  • Minimum 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in an accounting or finance role
  • CPG experience is a plus
  • Proficient computer, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skill
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with various people and teams
  • Independent thought-leader; self-motivated and self-directed work style; ability to work with a diverse team
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced work environment, pay close attention to detail and meet business- driven deadlines
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Prioritization and resource utilization abilities
  • Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
