What You’ll Do
- Manage workload of loss mitigation files within required timelines and protocols.
- Prepare and issue customer required letters and loss mitigation packages in accordance with investor guidelines.
- Required to handle an intermediate volume of cases with the ability to identify more complex cases for escalation.
- Evaluate borrower application packages to determine financial circumstances, capacity, and ability to pay.
- Reconcile sources of income, tax returns, balance sheets/statements, and credit reports; evaluate property valuations and/or appraisals to determine beneficiary’s equity position and to ensure adequate collateral of security instrument is maintained.
- Review title searches for liens, real estate tax information, or other barriers and relay the required steps to the appropriate parties to resolve any issues.
- Ensure loss mitigation documentation is updated accurately on Loan Servicing System with modified terms.Monitor loans for borrower payment
- and performance during trial period, forbearance plans, or repayment plan arrangements.
- Respond promptly to a wide variety of telephone calls, written inquiries and requests. Communicate information and direct documentation to attorneys,
- title companies, PMI companies, investors and bank customer service personnel to effectively maximize Loss Mitigation opportunities.
Requirements
- 1-3 years direct experience
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and adherence to all laws, regulations, and organizational processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates strong customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated effective listening skills
- Detail oriented with strong organization skills
