Kalman & Company is seeking to hire a mid-level Contracts Analyst to provide contracting support services. This position will support DoD clients in a hybrid work schedule in Stafford, VA. This is a contingent position dependent upon contract award. (Projected award date within 45 days.)
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Advise requestors during pre-solicitation phase on the use of different types of contracts and different pricing mechanisms.
  • Assist in pre-award functions (e.g., determine the type of contract, method of solicitation, proposal evaluation criteria, date of award, resources from the command) for administration of contracts.
  • Adjudicate comments and assist technical personnel in addressing legal comments and assess the impact on procurement and contract performance.
  • Monitor contract performance to ensure conformance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist in preparation for procurement or contract negotiations or assist in procurement/contract discussions that result in mutually acceptable outcomes (e.g., contract modifications, supplementary agreements, and settlements form change orders.
  • Brief personnel (e.g., management, customers, industry representatives) on the acquisition principles and contract vehicles to provide regulatory and procedural guidance).
  • Possess knowledge of the FAR, DFARS and understanding of OTAs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate information both verbally and in writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to work with a wide audience.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage tasks/prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Advanced Excel skills

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or another Business-related field.
  • Master’s Degree a plus
