Primary Responsibilities:
The Demand Replenishment Planner 2 position is a key role supporting our strategic vision to be the preferred supply chain partner in the specialty, natural & organic, and fresh marketplace in North America. The Demand Replenishment Planner operates within the Perishable and Fresh categories of the specialty and natural food industry. This role will work cross-functionally with members of demand planning, account management, sales, vendor management, transportation, warehouse operations, vendors, brokers, and inbound freight shippers. Essential Functions:
  • Achieve established KPIs: service level, inventory, gross spoils, forecast accuracy, and bias KPIs for assigned products and categories.
  • Responsible for purchase order placement, demand forecasting, order management, and inventory health.
  • Utilize reporting to identify and mitigate risks to target fill rate.
  • Ensure that the lowest cost-to-deliver decisions are made during the purchasing process by working cross-functionally with transportation and warehouse operations.
  • Responsible for end-to-end track and trace of purchase orders.
  • Regularly tuning replenishment system parameters to drive optimal purchasing suggestions
  • Primary point of contact for assigned vendors and brokers.
  • Utilize forecasting tools to review forecast exceptions and tune item-level sales trends
  • Determine root cause and find resolution for overstock and inventory spoils risk.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:
  • 1-3 years of related supply chain experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts, purchasing, and inventory management
Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:
  • Experience with Advanced Planning Software packages like Manhattan, JDA Fulfillment, JDA Demand Planning, or E3 is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Must be a team player with a roll up sleeves attitude and high sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel. Ability to manipulate, manage and gain business insights from large data sets.
  • Food industry experience in a similar Supply Chain role is preferred.
