JOB SUMMARY/EXPECTATIONS
Smile Source Atlanta East is actively interviewing qualified candidates to add to our passionate dental team. Being a part of the Smile Source Atlanta East team requires that the qualified candidate is a motivated individual who possesses exceptional leadership and team-building skills. Previous dental assisting experience is preferred. Qualified candidates should present themselves in a professional manner both in appearance and speech. Furthermore, candidates should be experienced and proficient in providing five-star exceptional patient care and customer service (think luxury).
The purpose of this position in the office setting is to support the doctor and clinical
staff through a role that overlaps both administrative and clinical responsibilities. This team member provides support by owning the office schedule. This involves providing exceptional customer service through greeting patients, checking patients in, registering new patients, receiving phone calls, confirming appointments, collecting payments, checking patients out and coordinating with the back office in order to ensure a smooth flow.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate understands dental treatment and is able to effectively communicate treatment needs, coordinate insurance benefits and present treatment plans to patients in a way that clearly communicates the need for treatment as well as the payment expectations and options to the patient. Through reports, recall systems and treatment planning, the team member ensures that the daily schedule meets the production goals and that payment is collected before treatment is rendered.
In addition, the ideal candidate is expected to have dental assistant experience and dental x-ray certification in order to assist clinically including but not limited to: taking patient records, seating patients, setting up operatories, chairside assisting, surgical assisting and other clinical services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bilingual: English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
- Efficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office, Practice Management Software, spreadsheets, Gmail, Google Drive and Web Browsing.
- Actively Listen to customers’ questions and concerns and provide answers or responses.
- Exceptional professional etiquette and speaking skills
- Able to demonstrate an atmosphere that is supportive of good dental and
- Experience with Practice Works, Open Dental, Dexis and Kodak
- Exceptional multi-tasking skills
- Efficiently manages time to ensure that all assignments and responsibilities are met and followed up in a timely manner.
- Approaches challenges as an opportunity to find and implement efficient solutions to patient and personnel issues.
- Well-versed in dental terminology and procedures in order to effectively communicate with and assist patients.
- Quickly learns and retains information in order to apply to day-to-day activities.
- Follows appropriate parameters and protocols when scheduling appointments
- Researches answers to provide solutions for patients as needed
- Follows up with patients in a timely and professional manner
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS
- 1 Year of Clinical Dental Experience
- 1 Year of Dental Administrative Experience
- CPR Certified
- DANB Dental Radiology Certified
- High School Diploma Required
- Associates Degree or Higher preferred but not required

- Reliable Transportation.
