Job description

Job Description: Design Engineer position will organize, manage, and create new designs and modify existing designs to meet PMW and customer requirement. Training and knowledge in fabrication processes including cutting, forming, welding, etc. Candidate will need the ability to read specifications, blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports, as well as compare performance of various parts. A knowledge of raw materials and production processes is necessary to perform essential job functions.

  • Utilize AutoCAD and/or AutoDesk Inventor to create new designs and modify existing designs. Electrical design, layout PLC/Programmable Relay programming knowledge
  • Read and Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing
  • methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
  • Estimate costs and schedules and submit quotes for specific products and projects
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
  • Learn LASER nesting program
  • Ability to reverse engineer projects
  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles to research, design, evaluate, operate and maintain mechanical products, equipment and processes
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operations and make recommendations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
