Design Specialist - Manufacturing Assembly

We are currently looking for Plant Layout Design Specialist with experience in developing Vehicle Assembly and/or Body Shop and detailed mechanical drawings including Robotics, Automation, Conveyors, Lift Assist Devices, Fixtures, and building infrastructure and facilities equipment.

· Work with Product Engineering to develop work area and equipment and zone layouts

· Responsible for field checks and measurements of tooling, equipment, and infrastructure for detailed locations and accuracy

· Make field notes and hand drawings while in the field

· Use of AutoCAD 2D/3D to Design, Print and distribute Product Drawings and BOM's

· Knowledge of Navisworks or willing to learn the Software

· Attend an engineering meeting, create Reports and Charts using MSOffice

· Assist plant engineering with changes or improvements

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Min 3 years of Manufacturing Design Development Experience for Vehicle Manufacturing facilities

· Min 3 years of reading and interpreting drawings/blueprints, including Mechanical Systems and Equipment Drawings

· Min 3 years of AutoCAD Design Experience in 2D/3D

· Knowledge of Navisworks is a Huge Plus

· Ability to walk in the field for extended periods of time, climb stairs, and mezzanines

· Must have good Communication skills and be able to work with engineers and PM’s

· Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)

· Ability to work on site at Client facilities - Travel up to 90% will be required (daily per Diem)

· The Pay rate is Based on Experience. OT is paid over 40 hrs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

  • 75% (Preferred)
