Our full time Regional Development Officer in St. Louis will implement development efforts to raise funds in support of the LFCS mission, manage special event fundraisers and a portfolio of assigned major gift donors and prospects.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and implement identification and engagement strategies for assigned prospects and major gift donors.
  • Understand and integrate individual efforts with the Development Annual and Strategic Plan, the Agency mission, projects and programs.
  • Develop, plan and provide project management for all phases of fundraising special events in order to meet budgeted income goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with and directly solicit support from donors, potential donors, participants, volunteers and vendors.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field required.
  • Two years’ experience in fundraising, major gifts solicitation, or sales preferred.

Knowledge and Skills
:
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with donor database software and event software a plus. Ability to manage and prioritize multiples tasks and projects. Ability to build relationships, with a variety of constituencies. Knowledge of fundraising principles and ethical standards. Knowledge of major gift solicitation. Familiarity with modern gift techniques and tools for non-profits .
