Developmental Service Worker
Job description
HOURS: Full Time; 5:00 am - 10:00 pm, Shift to be bid. Sundays off
This is semi-skilled work of a mechanical nature at the sub journey level. Work involves responsibility for performing service on all StarTran vehicles, and cleaning of buildings and grounds. THIS SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY DRUG TESTING POLICIES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.
Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent plus six months of experience in the servicing of diesel and automotive equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license when operating a vehicle is necessary to the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
When operating equipment that falls under the Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) status, the employee is required to possess and maintain the proper license and endorsement.
To be eligible for insurance benefits, employees must work at least 30 hours per week.
To be eligible for the retirement plan, employees must work at least 20 hours per week.
Temporary, seasonal, and unclassified employees are not eligible for benefits.
