Job description

Best Block, part of the QUIKRETE® Companies, LLC, a manufacturer and distributer of concrete block, retaining walls, pavers, brick, stone, and other masonry and landscape products, has an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic located at our Coolidge, AZ location.

The ideal candidate must be able to effectively solve mechanical problems quickly and thoroughly, have prior experience with a forklift and have the ability to work in a busy environment. The successful candidate will regularly check the condition of all equipment and report any issues to the appropriate staff.

Responsibilities:

• Heavy Duty road truck and Forklift repair.
• Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Heavy fabrication and design understanding.
• General equipment repair.
• Plan and execute engine performance improvements.
• Implement new techniques to increase efficiency in assembly processes.
• Bumper to bumper preventive maintenance service and/or repair to tractors, trailers and forklifts.
• Preventive maintenance inspections
• Electrical systems diagnostic and repair.
• Brake system repair.
• Minor diesel engine repair.

Shift: 6am-4pm
