Job description

Position Responsibilities:

· Receives from yard manager list of repairs needed

· Coordinates with parts department on parts needed

· Let’s yard manager know completion time line for projects

· Inspects repairs and makes sure future issues are prevented

· Educate operators on why breakdowns happen and inform appropriate manager, operations manager and safety department if it becomes a safety issue

· Sign off on DOT citations for repairs needed and complete

· Inspect yard equipment

· Train Drivers on breakdowns.

· Help train drivers with equipment care

· Drives Mechanic vehicle to pick up out of service rigs or trucks around area or to different yards

· Works in and around heavy equipment daily

· Uses tools and heavy equipment to repair breakdowns
Other Responsibilities Or Job Requirements:
· Ensure confidentiality of all records generated within the organization.

· Maintain confidentiality of customers and employees.

· Reports any suspected fraud and/or abuse yard manager

· Properly utilizes and maintains equipment for company.

· Complete duties in a way that is safe and shows an attitude of safety awareness.

· Must be able to pass regular criminal history checks.

· Must be willing to take and pass drug/alcohol tests

· Must possess and maintain valid Texas motor vehicle operator’s permit of appropriate classification and endorsement as required. Must agree to maintain a satisfactory MVR and minimum requirement of insurability as required by law. MVR background checks may be conducted by the agency.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
