Position Summary:
Provide nutritional care for patients. Develop and implement nutrition education programs for the medical center and community. Assist with in-service training and quality improvement programs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the ability to screen patients for identification of nutritional intervention.
- Exhibits knowledge to integrate clinical, anthropometrics, laboratory, social, psychological and nutrition data into assessment, identify modification of food/nutrient intake and route administration.
- Records pertinent patient nutritional care documentation in medical record and validates patient charges for nutritional care.
- Develops and implements nutrition care plan based on objective data from nutrition assessment.
- Evaluates and adjusts as necessary based on outcome of care and continuous monitoring of patient’s needs.
- Provides counseling to patients, families, and significant others regarding diet needs, restrictions and food/drug interactions; evaluates learning and adjusts as necessary.

About Universal Health Services
Requirements:
- BS degree in Food, Nutrition, or Dietetics required.
- RDLD registered and licensed required.
- One-year experience as a dietitian in a healthcare setting required.
- Good written and oral communication skills required.
- Typing and basic computer skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
