Direct Support Professional - $5,000 Sign-On Hiring Event 5/23!

Citizens offers a variety of residential supports based upon the level of support and supervision required by each person to include Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA’s) and Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF’s).

In this DSP role, you will train to guide/mentor our wonderful people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to achieve their goals.

Receive up to *$5,000 in bonus pay in your first 18 months!

*$3,500 sign-on bonus + $1,500 NYS Healthcare Worker Bonus (if eligible)!

In this role you will:

• Support people to live the life they choose.
• Work with mature active adults
• Provide ongoing support to people in becoming active participants in every aspect of their lives (i.e., self-care routines to include feeding, showering, dressing and diapering), health, safety, household chores, socialization and overall wellbeing) and to ensure that a high quality of life is maintained.
• Ensures a safe and clean home by providing support to people to assist them with the completion of household chores and by participating in said household chores as needed.

We require:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License
• Successful completion and maintenance of AMAP certification status.
• Ability to communicate and understand written and oral directives/information.
• Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
