1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - (JOB # ME-AU)

Young 14-year-old boy is looking for someone to help him access his community once weekly. He communicates vocally his wants and needs and ambulates independently. He enjoys going out into the community, quiet time, SEGA, Nintendo Switch, XBOX, playing video games, watching movies, going out to eat, Five Guys, Wegmans, superheroes, basketball, bowling, pizza, cats, and the zoo. Daily responsibilities would be going out in the community assist in finding activities to participate in. Potential hallucinations may occur.

The ideal candidate is: Someone familiar with the Syracuse area, who loves to drive and has strong boundaries, background in mental health a plus.

Special Considerations: May have behaviors, cats in home.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.

Hours and days of work: Anything after 4 Monday-wed anything after 230 Thursday or Friday and open on weekends

Starting pay: Starting pay is $17/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Location: North Manlius, NY

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check completed by Exceptional Family Resources (EFR).
