Position: Direct Support Professional/Mental Health Technician

Regional Health Systems is Northwest Indiana’s largest provider of community-based mental health care, primary health care and addiction treatment services. We offer adults and children—both uninsured and insured—integrated care through our community mental health center and federally qualified health center. Regional Health Systems is a member of the Regional Care Group.

Position Purpose:

To provide technical psychiatric mental health services to adults, which are directed toward:

1. Assistance in maintaining daily routines while clients are hospitalized or in a residential or day treatment setting.

2. Providing skills and support to enable clients to regain coping abilities and prevent further disability.

3. Creating a therapeutic milieu to facilitate treatment.

Looking for DSP/Mental Health Technician in the following departments/locations:

Frederick Apartments – Munster, IN

The Residence Group Home – Merrillville, IN

Inpatient Unit – Merrillville, IN

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week

Shift: Varies depending on department

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license (PPC or CDL) consistent with driving/clean driving record.
• High School Diploma
• Two years’ experience in a human service field preferred.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
