Base pay $16.80/hr. Could reach as high as $19.65/hr with 7+ years experience and a bachelors degree
Part-time Day shift, 8-2pm or 9-3pm from June - August
As a Direct Support Professional at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You will assist in the planning and implementation of residential unit services for assigned clients. Responsible for the safety and security of all clients in assigned units. You will also provide therapeutic interventions as necessary.
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health – Massachusetts, Webster House, is an off campus located in Webster, MA and serves co-ed youth, ages 6 to 12, in an emergency shelter. With a 1:3 staff to student ratio, the emphasis at Webster House is to identify and treat safety/risk factors, barrier behaviors, factors that precipitated placement, and facilitate reintegration of the youth to the family or next appropriate placement in the shortest time period possible, usually within a matter of days.
You will add value by:

Maintaining a safe and therapeutic treatment environment that meets the physical, emotional, and personal needs of program clients while improving functioning and minimizing interfering behaviors.

Providing client documentation to include shift reports, incident reports, and individual progress notes.

Qualifications:
Job Qualifications:
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid MA Drivers License required
  • High School diploma or GED required, Bachelors preferred
  • Previous experience preferred (needed if high school graduate), working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders.
  • Ability to attend 2 week orientation, Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm.
Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
