Job Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations, the Director of Gift Processing leads a team in the daily execution of gift acceptance; establishes, develops, and updates guidelines, policies, and procedures related to gift processing; serves as a liaison with Business & Finance to monitor and lead cash clearing reconciliation; works with the executive director and the Office of the General Counsel to ensure gift acceptance remains in compliance with IRS guidelines; and serves as a liaison with the Athletics Department to streamline gift processing through their department channels.

Job Duties
- Supervises staff to maintain high standards during the receiving, processing, and documenting of gifts; utilizes daily audit reports to ensure accuracy and integrity of posted gifts; ensures a high level of confidentiality throughout the department.
- Performs quarterly reconciliation of cash clearing accounts. Prepares quarterly documents for Business & Finance with reconciliation status. Monitors funds to ensure precise posting and reconciliation of funds; compares and verifies line items and electronic transfers; researches any discrepancies.
- Ensures that all IRS guidelines for gift acceptance, processing, and receipting are met.
- Monitors and maintains the pledge-write-off process; works with development officers, administration, and Business & Finance during the process as needed.
- Monitors and maintains gifts in suspense; ensures gifts are moved to the appropriate fund(s) in a timely manner.
- Serves as a key liaison with Business & Finance, Office of the General Counsel, Athletics, and other business units to ensure collaboration and compliance with established procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with five (5) years related work experience. Accounting background preferred.
