Linde Inc is the leading supplier of industrial gases in the world, with regional businesses supporting customers across industries in 3 geographies. In the Americas, IT is organized along six Business Units leveraging Corporate and Shared services.

This position reports into the VP Americas Digital & IT and is a key member of the Leadership Team. This role leads the Cyber Security program for the Americas with responsibility for operational security of Networks, Applications, and the integration with the Global SOC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cyber Security Program for Americas, aligning with Cyber Risk Assessments and priorities of the business.
• Lead the execution of the security and compliance framework in coordination with Corp IT
• Member of the IT Americas Leadership team that reports on Cyber incidents, adherence to the Cyber Controls framework, analyzes trends and takes appropriate action to ensure compliance
• Work closely with the Global CISO and IT Security Operations Director to continuously review the threat landscape, and manage an effective investment plan to mitigate emerging risks
• Assist in the Development and maintenance of an active User Awareness Program, supported by effective and regular communications in close coordination with the regional BU IT teams who are overall accountable for user behavior
• Participates in major infrastructure and application programs to ensure Cybersecurity risks are identified and systems are built securely
• Coordinate the audit plan with Internal Audit and oversee the audit remediation process with Americas IT teams - and support Corp IT where required
• Primary point of contact in Americas when there is an Americas cybersecurity incident, coordinate with local RBU, Global CISO and Global Director of security in the closure of the incidents; and deliver incident cause analysis
• Coordinate third party vendors involved in security operations in alignment with Corporate IT
• Educates and consults Americas Linde executives on Cybersecurity – including internal and external threats, actual incidents and industry best practice and provides high quality trusted advice and insight on Cybersecurity-related matters
• Assist RBU IT Leads with customer security surveys

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years’ experience in cybersecurity, minimum 10 years technology management experience with progressive growth of responsibilities
• CISSP certified with deep technology skills across a wide range of topics
• Experience leading the implementation of Cyber Program at large enterprise with over 10,000 employees
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, English required with Spanish and Portuguese a plus. Ability to communicate on all levels including technical, management, executive on complex IT and cybersecurity topics; able to simplify tech language for the business
• Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal communication and relational skills, good organizational and project management skills; sound judgment; initiative; flexibility; detail-oriented; ability to work collaboratively in multi-functional teams
• Demonstrated track record of executing complex technology programs, portfolio prioritization
• Ability to operate in a multi-cultural environment
