Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing Operations will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate housewide administrative services and operations, including daily patient throughput with oversight of all patient throughput initiatives. Responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and completing projects as assigned in support of the hospital's goals and mission, especially those pertaining to Patient Care Services. Acts as a liaison and change agent between nursing and ancillary departments, administration, and medical staff to complete projects and meet deadlines in the most efficient, cost effective manner with quality and safety of care. The Director of Nursing Operations collaborates with and assists nurse leaders in standardization of nursing practice, development and revision of nursing policies and procedures, nursing education/competencies, and nursing documentation, including monitoring effectiveness. Collaborates with nurse leaders to assure completion of activities related to maintaining regulatory compliance. Assists nurse leaders in development and implementation of operational action plans for obtaining and maintaining optimal nursing care. Represents the CNE as requested.

Qualifications

Experience:
3 years prior proven experience in a Manager/Director setting with accountability for multiple departmentsor service lines. Current knowledge of The Joint Commission, State and Federal Regulatory agency requirements as well as Board of Registered Nursing

Education:
CA RN License. Bachelors in Nursing
required.

Pay Range

$65.48 - $94.95 /hour
