Job Title: Director of Communications and Grants
Reports to: Assistant Superintendent

*Salary: $79,078 - $97,385 on Administrator Salary Schedule - dependent upon experience.

Position Summary: Director of Communications and Grants responsible for the district’s formal communication efforts including website, social media, and other marketing strategies. This position will also provide leadership and direction for programs funded by state, private, and federal funds. Oversee the financial administration of state, private, and federal grants; ensure the district meets all compliance and reporting requirements; ensure staff meets and completes the approved program initiatives. Assist in the budget process and perform budget analysis duties as assigned by his/her designee.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major pertinent to the position requirements. Prefer 1-2 years communications experience in addition to grant writing and management experience.

Communications

  • Help build a positive organizational culture and climate through communication.
  • Develop, manage and execute an annual Communications and Marketing Plan including but not limited to:Social media strategy, campaigns, and ads,

Publications,
Presentations,
Branded school swag,
Press releases, public relations,
School community communications,
Emergency and Infinite Campus Communications,

  • Develop and manage annual Communications and Marketing BudgetWebsite,

Style and branding,
Visual, written, video, and audio assets to help support communication, including printed and digital collateral.

  • Lead school brand strategy and develop its visual identity, including:
  • Create and/or overseeDigital newsletters,

Invitations,
Annual report, and
Social media campaigns.

  • Facilitate parent and community engagement and alliance efforts.

Grant Management

  • Perform reporting and the financial administration which includes but is not limited to the following:Preparation and timely submission of grant applications and reports.

Creation and adjustment of budgets associated with grants.
Coordination of funds
Reviewing and processing requests for expenditures and ensuring the timely application for reimbursement from the state.

  • Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor as well as oversee special audits conducted by the grantor.
  • Input, review, and approve federal grant data in the state grant system.
  • Serve as the liaison with principals and other departments on issues related to grants.
  • Assign certain grants and/or related responsibilities to individual departments and coordinate their activities related to the grants assigned.
  • Assist in evaluating the fiscal administration of grant programs.
  • Other duties as assigned
