The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for supervision of the maintenance program and its staff for a portfolio in Northern RI. Our rental communities consist of 350+ residential units and commercial locations throughout Woonsocket, Pascoag, Harrisville, and North Smithfield, RI. You will be hands-on and will oversee building and maintenance systems, preventative maintenance programs, scheduling of onsite capital improvement projects, inventory management, working with contractors and vendors, writing specifications, reading and comparing proposals, writing progress reports for owners, and making presentations.Successful candidates will have at least 3-5 years of maintenance management experience. We are looking for someone experienced with painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC systems, and carpentry. Knowledge of affordable housing property maintenance is preferred. Experience managing scattered sites is preferred. Experience supervising and mentoring a team of maintenance professionals is required. The candidate must also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have strong customer service skills. Knowledge of MS Office is required. Experience with Yardi is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
