The Director or Manufacturing will direct overall site manufacturing operations while focused on meeting or exceeding metrics on safety, quality, cost, and customer delivery. The Director of Manufacturing will oversee functions of fabrication and assembly by, walking the floor providing leadership and coaching, driving adherence to standards, coordinating production schedules across value streams, and leading and supporting continuous improvement activities.

The ideal candidate for a Director of Manufacturing would be able to do the following:

• Works with site leadership team to develop and execute annual operating plan and strategic initiatives.
• Oversees manufacturing value streams.
• Is accountable for daily execution of the Alto-Shaam Manufacturing System (ASMS).
• Responsible and accountable to operational budgets..
• Role model for performance management and developing others.
• Participates in LDM (lean daily management walks), safety walks, waste walks, and layered audits.
• Is responsible for deployment of new product and capital project planning and launch.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities across value streams (transformation agent).
• Tactical mentoring, leadership and involvement on the shop floor will all levels of the manufacturing team.
• Work closely and in partnership with HR to enforce safety and work rules are followed by all employees. Ensure compliance to Union contracts and follow through proper protocols on employee corrective actions.

For a candidate to be successful as a Director of Manufacturing they must have:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8 -10 years’ experience in an operations management role.
• Forward thinking individual who will bring new and innovative ideas to the table and execute them effectively
• Strong management, leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational ability.
• Effective hiring and staffing decision making, and ability to guide and motivate others.
• Demonstrated experience leading large scale operations and/ or projects.
