Skyway Precision, Inc is seeking a Director of Operations for the Michigan Facilities. The Director of Operations provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the Company. Formulates and plans the use of materials, equipment and human resources in achieving the plan. The Director of Operations is responsible to coordinate efforts within the Organization to maximize the Company’s operating performance and achieving its financial goals. The Director of Operator is responsible for the day to day operations of all Michigan based Skyway Facilities as it relates to Quality, Productivity, Delivery and overall performance of the facilities.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Compliance with Skyway Precision, Inc. Quality policies and procedures.

Create training and process improvements

Communicate with the President in preparing Strategic Operational Plans.

Must have outstanding communication skills and demonstrate solid leadership.

Must demonstrate good Problem Solving skills.

Responsible for sound financial management of all Michigan based Skyway facilities. Identify ways to increase revenues and decrease costs.

Analyze financial reports and work with each facilities staff to identify opportunities and develop improvement plans.

Maintain a healthy work environment and ensure sound policies and procedures are in place.

Must collaborate with all Company Departments and segments of management to establish and execute responsibilities.

Interact with Skyway’s Customer base as it applies to Quality, Delivery related issues.

Regularly reports to the President of any issue that requires executive decisions.

Implement short and long term programs and processes to optimize work flow.

Review and approve plan(s) of each facility that may impact budget spending, labor efficiency, and material efficiency, new areas of technology and Customer service impacts.

Conduct and complete Layer Process Audits as scheduled.

Follow general safety rules, procedures and regulations.

Perform special assignments as delegated.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum 15 years’ experience in Operations Management in a Production Machining Environment.
Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience accepted.
