Director of Sales – Resort Operating Group

How the Director of Sales works with the Team:
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for Mountain Creek Resort and Big SNOW. The role drives revenue growth by creating and implementing effective sales plans and building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
Key Team Member Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the resort operation group sales strategy to meet revenue goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and drive growth.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, ensure that all expenses are within budget.
- Identify new sales opportunities and develop plans to capture them.
- Utilize technology to enhance and create efficiencies in the sales process.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and tactics.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, and other teams to ensure the effective delivery of products and services.
- Represent the resort operating group businesses at key industry events and conferences to raise its profile and generate business.
Team Member Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years experience in sales, preferably within the resort, conference or travel industry.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing sales teams.
- Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work as needed weekends, holidays, and evenings, as needed.
- Must have strong project management skills, attention to detail, highly organized and ability to collaborate in a creative team environment.
- Roll-up sleeves attitude with a hands-on approach to the work.
- Ability to travel to resort locations, as needed.
