Security Director - Arrow Security NYC Region

Position Summary

The Security Director is responsible for supervising and training security guard account managers to ensure all account managers are effectively supervising their staff, ensuring that all assigned security officers are performing up to client expectations. The Security Director cultivates working relationships with appropriate law enforcement, intelligence, and threat assessment agencies to identify, quantify and assess security threats to the building and to provide recommendations.

The Security Director works in conjunction with Operations and HR departments to foster best practices that are compliant with federal/state regulations and is committed to the respect and integrity of our Arrow mission to provide an exceptional client and employee experience.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of security personnel in their day-to-day duties and responsibilities
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures
• Oversee physical safety and security of the building, employees, visitors, and occupants
• Maintain a secure environment and provide emergency evacuation and safety procedures to ensure safety of building occupants
• Ensure security staff is prepared with all equipment, uniforms, and supplies necessary to meet client's needs and service expectations
• Develop training plans for security, maintain training records; regularly monitor performance and provide coaching for performance improvement and development, discipline, retraining and termination, if necessary
• Create and maintain officer post orders and shift schedules; ensure all posts are staffed with qualified, trained personnel
• Develop, implement, and maintain a security risk management plan for the building's safety program to reduce liability and mitigate risk
• Manage and report security incidents and threats

Qualifications:

• 10 years' LEO experience OR combination of 5 years' LEO and 5 years Military
• Valid NYS Security Guard License
• Self-motivation to be proactive in identifying problems and developing recommended solutions
• Self-discipline to always conduct oneself with the utmost professionalism, integrity, reliability, and accountability
• Knowledge & experience w/Microsoft Office
• Experience with WinTeam a plus
• Exceptional knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Committed and dependable

Annual salary $80-$90,000
