Directs and controls the activities of the Technology Services operations managers and technical staff. Provides strategic leadership for establishing and maintaining a full feature hosting services program.
The Director of Hosting Services reports to the Senior Director of Technology Services. The individual will be expected to work under minimal supervision and will have broad latitude for guiding the people, process, and technology required to enable and deliver our future, contemporary hosting environment. Activities include accountability for planning, organizing, and maturing the technology and services in support of all aspects of hosting, cloud and prem based.
Additional accountabilities include partnering with peers, architects, and staff to build a robust control program, ensure vendor oversight, drive product selection and oversee deployment, lifecycle management, and operational support of supported systems and services. Reviews reports on progress, work trends, and problems.
Develops both department and company level policies. Ensures highly responsive technical support for employees and identifies service gaps. Keeps executive-level management informed of departmental progress and problems.

This position will be filled to work remotely within the United States.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life.
  • Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through implementation and release. Functions as a central resource with design, development, quality assurance, marketing and implementation as the software product(s) move through their lifecycle.
  • Creates and maintains the product/vision roadmap.
  • Contributes technical expertise to the sales process and the development of effective marketing plans/campaigns.
  • Oversees alpha and beta program definition and coordinates execution.
  • Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control.
  • Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends.
  • Provides direction, control and mentoring for Technical Product Managers under direction.
  • Completes people management functions including goal setting, performance appraisals, P&L management, budgeting, etc.
  • May oversee Project Management Office (PMO) activities.
  • May oversee annual Enhancement Submission Process (ESP).
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10 years of progressive experience with hosting (prem and cloud), storage and virtualization technologies.
  • In leu of a degree, candidate must have 18 years of experience.
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% for meetings and conferences.
