The role you’ll contribute:

The Director Oncology Operations is responsible for the on-site management and supervision of oncology operations. To include but not limited to, Radiation Oncology, Radiation Nursing, Radiation Business Office, process improvement for Radiation and Clinics where applicable. Program accreditation coordination, planning and execution. System and technology reviews along with fiscal responsibility for both cost containment and revenue expansion. Collaborates on regionally assigned area as subject matter expert.


The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Communicates daily with and assists physicians, physicist and department staff members to coordinate patient treatment, planning, dosimetry, equipment quality control and radiation safety.
  • Oversees that personnel are scheduled to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation using flexible staffing when appropriate. Provides for equipment service and maintenance.
  • Assures therapeutic and diagnostic measures are safely administered as prescribed by the physician either directly or indirectly.
  • Assures patient care is monitored and appropriately documented, particularly nursing assessments, treatment, order completion, patient education, and referral for follow-up care, both in the medical records and logs.
  • Responsible for ensuring staff in-services and education.
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare required and a minimum of five years of oncology experience, with demonstrated 3-year management experience.
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of oncology to supervise and organize workflow and throughput.
  • CPR required.
  • Driver’s license required
