What You Will Be Doing


The Director of Professional Services is a member of our Payment Operations team. Exact is looking for someone who can take a very hands-on approach to being an ambassador and escalation point for new clients of various sizes while assisting them throughout their implementation process. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary leadership skills to build a team of solution architects & implementation specialists, while actively spearheading multiple integration projects with SaaS and ISV partners. This role is best fitted for an enthusiastic, technical, high-energy communicator, that enjoys interdisciplinary collaboration and knows how to assist in creating, executing, and managing software implementation programs.


  • Serve as a trusted embedded payments advisor to your team & various clients to educate them on the use and benefits of our products and our industry;
  • Support the “handoff” between pre and post sales service ensuring the client completes their implementation within timeframes desired;
  • Manage a team to identify opportunities, drive business outcomes, and ensure customers are successful in partnership with the sales, product, risk, and development teams;
  • Build and foster relationships with senior executives in business, product, engineering, finance, and risk teams to ensure all groups are aligned to complete the project;
  • Take ownership of post-sale client relationships to assist in their strategic growth and technological advancement;
  • Provide daily direction, assistance, and oversight to the Professional Services team ensuring that it proactively progresses new internal & external implementations forward;
  • Develop reporting to track project activity, productivity, exceptions, risks, issues, and team effectiveness;
  • Deliver information to the management team by gathering and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations;
  • Advocate for the client to internal stakeholders, driving awareness of user pain points and partnering cross-functionally to develop comprehensive solutions;
  • Assist leadership with identifying new implementation management trends in the ever-evolving merchant services & embedded payments industry;
  • Develop scalable policies, procedures, and project workbooks to improve upon Exact’s current implementation process;
  • Identify potential procedural gaps for areas of improvement in current systems or policies, and work with cross-functional teams, including product & engineering, to implement changes;
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews in accordance with our risk & underwriting handbook.

About You


  • 7+ years’ experience in project management, customer implementations, or solutioning roles related to embedded payments, integrated software vendors, and merchant services;
  • Preferred minimum of 3+ years of experience with B2B SaaS providers;
  • Ability to focus on our various clients, operate in an environment with changing priorities as determined by the client, generate, and consider new and different ideas/solutions;
  • Ability to understand and discuss API specs at a technical level;
  • Deep understanding of customer implementation methodologies, having designed and implemented impactful customer-centric techniques in a high-growth business.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment, while continuously acting with a sense of urgency;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the organization;
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, leadership, and collaborative decision-making skills;
  • Ability to develop, train and communicate complex processes and systems to the wider organization as well as implementation clients;
  • Highly-detailed & disciplined approach to creating standards and documentation for all internal and external implementation stakeholders;
  • Ability to succeed with a high level of autonomy and responsibility;
  • Must be proficient with Excel and have deep knowledge of creating ad-hoc reporting;
