Job description
Chevy Chase Club is seeking an experienced, motivated, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Dishwasher / Steward.
This is an evening position 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM FT
This important role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all food delivery, storage, and preparation areas as well as assisting with the receiving, storing, and/or distributing of food and beverage products. This individual also assists in maintaining the china, glassware, hollowware, silverware, and cooking utensils by washing and properly storing all necessary equipment. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Provide support to the culinary staff
- Operate dishwashing machine to ensure the cleanliness of plates, glasses, silverware, pots, and pans
- Hand-wash pots and other items as necessary
- Polish silver, platter, and chafing dishes
- Collect disposables from the kitchen area and discard or recycle as appropriate
- Clean & maintain dish machine and dish area
- Sweep and/or mop kitchen floors and mats
- Clean and safely store all cleaning equipment as appropriate
