Living on the Veg is a small family run business in Manahawkin, NJ. We are small tight knit crew, kitchen tends to be fast-paced, engaging and fun.

We are currently looking for a Line/Prep Cook to work in our fast casual restaurant. The successful candidate is passionate about preparing and cooking food in a busy environment, and can comfortably take direction from superiors. We are seeking a passionate professional to join our team who can help us prepare food for our customers and monitor daily operations in our small kitchen.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customer service staff, bussers and managers.
• Coordinate with other food preparation staff.
• Cook food items according to recipe specifications.
• Prepare salads and side dishes such as potatoes, rice, or pasta.
• Prepare soups and sauces according to recipe specifications.
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.15 - $16.00 per hour
