Dispatch Operations Specialist

Classic Transportation provides Stretcher, Wheelchair, and Ambulatory transportation to/from hospitals, facilities, and homes for medical patients across the state of Oklahoma. For this role, we are seeking a part-time (15-30 hours per week) Dispatch Operations Specialist for the weekends that will serve as part of our Dispatch and Scheduling team. The Dispatch Operations Specialist takes customer calls, schedules rides, and dispatches them to our Field Team, while also assisting with back-office duties.

This is what you will do:

Scheduling and Dispatching

  • Answer and log customer calls to quote and book Stretcher, Wheelchair, and Ambulatory transports using our phone and dispatch software
  • Communicate with the Field Team (Drivers & EMTs) about daily schedules and transport information to ensure Passengers are transported safely and reliably
  • Work with the Field Team, referral sources, and Passengers to resolve issues that arise in the field (delays, cancellations, etc.)
  • Make outgoing calls/texts to inform facilities of extra availability

General Operations/Office Management

  • Manage the office phone system and provide excellent customer service to all callers
  • Track and record invoice information for billing customers
  • Perform data entry
  • Work from home with the ability to travel into the office
  • Other duties as assigned

These are the qualifications you have earned and skills you have developed (required):

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software and mobile technology
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Prior experience in the Healthcare space
  • Prior experience in dispatching
  • Associate degree (can be in progress)
