Optimus Courier is a growing Courier company based in Eagan, MN. We have a fleet of 40 vehicles on the road at any given day. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Fleet Dispatcher who is able self-motivate and motivate others. Candidate must be a problem solver, a self-starter, and a team player. If you love fast-pace environment, fun atmosphere and company that you can make a difference in you are in the right place. This position requires you to wear multiple hats. Coordinate and manage the driver safety program, Fleet maintenance, and most importantly, communicating with all layers of the company to ensure safety is always kept as a priority.

Job Description

• · Building and maintaining relationships with key departments and Company affiliates to ensure cooperation and team work.
• · Responsible for organizing safety meetings and scheduling new employee safety training.
• · Ensures the consistent application of organizational and business unit policies and procedures.
• · Working closely with Station Manager and assisting dispatchers with required tasks. Strong understanding of fleet management procedures and policies.
• · Adept at common vehicle maintenance procedures.
• · Ability to use reporting and data tracking software to coach drivers and keep reports.
• · Skilled at identifying and resolving maintenance problems.
• · Especially adept at cost-effective preventative maintenance measures.
• · Extensive written and oral communications skills is a MUST.
• · Strong organizational skills is also a MUST.
• · Documenting vehicle maintenance dates and details of repairs or upgrades performed.
• · Monitored performance of all drivers while on the road.
• · Make route recommendations designed to safely improve efficiency.
• · Schedule preventative fleet maintenance with the dealership and PEP-Boys.
• · Evaluate drivers and keep record of drug test and every incident report record.
• · Ensure that all safety regulations were fully implemented by all drivers.
